Move the back of the vehicle backwards (like Kingdom Cyclonus/Legacy Metalhawk's rear), and then split the back of the vehicle to make the legs. Unpeg the side doors (easiest if you move the cabin forward), and then unpeg the back of the vehicle. To transform Jazz, first unclip the arms from the sides of the inside of the doors.

Here's some size comparisons, with SS Core Laserbeak, Selects Deep Cover, Armada Starscream, and Studio Series Sludge. The connector can be used, but it can also be stored in a secret place during transformation. The blaster fits on the top of the vehicle mode, through either of 2 5mm pegs. The vehicle mode itself looks very smooth, and is very chunky and fun to hold. Starting off in the vehicle mode, Jazz's Cybertronian mode looks fairly accurate to the original cartoon, minus slightly wider side windows. Speaking of which, here are the accessories: a blaster, and an attachment to the blaster, which can split into 2 parts: a nozzle, and a connector. Figure's joints were nice and tight once out of the package.

Pretty interesting design choice, I'm personally a fan of it. The tissue with the accessories is inside as well. Instead, the cardboard inside folds around the figure, with that and the holes for the backpack and leg kibble allowing Jazz to stay in nice and snug. Interestingly, the inside doesn't have Jazz tied in any way by any bands of any sort. The box art is fairly similar to the recent Legacy boxes that Buzzworthy has, though with more cardboard on the front per how Legacy Evolution is being packaged. So will he live up to the precedent set up by Origin Bee? While he's gotten his WFC due with the SS86 figure, he has also recently gotten a Buzzworthy figure, which is the first time he's officially been portrayed in his Cybertronian form in toy form (no, the High-Moon figure, that's a different continuity).
Hasbro 2008 autobot jazz movie#
Jazz is one of the iconic G1 Autobots, being present since the very first episode of the G1 cartoon, and even living through the movie (though granted, VA issues prevented him from appearing more past that.) As such, he's appeared constantly throughout the years, getting his occasional share of toys. The recently released Origin Autobot Jazz just appeared in my neck of the woods, so I was able to snatch him pretty quickly, all things considered (though he was marked up at $30.)
